2016
Where It All Began
PriWatt® was founded with a vision to redefine intelligent glass technology. Operations began in a small basement workshop in Newmarket, Ontario, where the first switchable glass prototypes and manufacturing processes were developed from the ground up.
2017
Growing Beyond Canada
Increasing demand led to expansion into the United States, bringing manufacturing closer to major architectural and commercial markets. During this period, the foundation for future certifications, engineering standards, and production systems was established.
2019
Advanced Manufacturing
Investment in professional lamination equipment transformed PriWatt® into a dedicated manufacturing operation. New production capabilities improved optical quality, consistency, scalability, and support for larger architectural projects.
2021
Engineering Innovation
Development accelerated with new manufacturing techniques, proprietary production methods, and continuous product refinement. PriWatt® expanded its capabilities across switchable glass, smart film, and specialized privacy solutions.

Production Scaling
Further investment in lamination infrastructure with the addition of a new oven. This expansion was driven by increased demand and the need for higher throughput while maintaining strict quality control standards.
