The plant, and the people who answer

PriWatt manufactures switchable glass and film in South Florida. Lamination, electrical assembly and testing happen in one building, so a technical question gets a technical answer and not a promise to find out.

The quickest way to reach one of them is the calendar: twenty minutes at a time you pick, instead of an exchange about when. Everything below reaches the same team.

The fastest route, by what you need

These are quicker only because they ask the right questions the first time. The form at the bottom of the page covers anything that is not on the list.

What to put in the first message

None of it is required. Each one removes a day from the exchange, because it is what we would otherwise have to ask.

  • Sizes, or a drawing; a marked-up photograph is enough to start
  • Whether the glass is already in the building, or is still to be made
  • Which state it should hold with no power: clear, or private
  • Where it is: a partition, a door, a window, a wet room, a guard, overhead
  • When it is needed on site

The third line decides the product, and it is easier to answer as a behaviour than as a name. Reverse mode is clear with no power; normal mode is private. Everything else follows from that, and the measured values are published if you would rather read them first.

Some of it may not need us at all: how long it lasts, what happens in a power cut, whether film goes onto glass already in the building, how it is cleaned and what a failure looks like are all answered on the FAQ.
