How PNLC Technology Works

PriWatt PNLC (Polymer Network Liquid Crystal) glass uses tiny liquid crystal droplets dispersed within a polymer network. By controlling the alignment of these crystals with an electric field, the glass can switch instantly between opaque and transparent.

PNLC glass contains billions of liquid crystal droplets, each only a few microns in size, embedded within a polymer matrix.

Their alignment - controlled by an electric field - is what allows the glass to switch between scattering (opaque) and transmitting (transparent light)
