How It Works
How PDLC Smart Film Works
PriWatt PDLC (Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal) Self-Adhesive Film contains millions of microscopic liquid crystal droplets suspended within a durable polymer layer between two transparent conductive ITO coatings. This advanced construction allows the film to switch instantly between transparent and private states with the application of electrical power.
When power is applied, the liquid crystals align in a uniform direction, allowing visible light to pass through and creating a high-transparency viewing state. When power is removed, the crystals scatter light in multiple directions, transforming the film into a bright white privacy state while still transmitting natural daylight.

PriWatt PDLC film combines advanced liquid crystal technology with transparent conductive coatings to deliver reliable switchable privacy for retrofit glass applications.
When energized, the liquid crystals align with the electric field, creating excellent optical clarity. When switched off, they return to a random orientation, diffusing incoming light and preventing direct visibility through the glass.
