Switchable room dividers

A switchable glass room divider closing a space in one movement.

What is in this film

Most of this film is shot in homes. Black-framed glazed screens stand between rooms, in one place forming a corner on a wooden floor, in another separating a bathroom from the bedroom next to it. That divider is switchable film on the glass.

Nothing in these shots is frosted glass or applied frosting. Everything that reads as opaque is the switchable product in its private state, which is why the same screen looks solid in one shot and shows the bed and the window behind it in the next.

The largest divider in the film is a run of big sliding leaves across a living room, carrying switchable film and held in its private state with the sofa in front of it. An office appears too, where the lower band of a glazed run is switched and the clear part above it is not.

One panel is doing a second job. In a kitchen a divider sits in its private state and is used as a rear-projection screen, which is what the frosted state is good for once the room no longer needs to see through it.
