Switchable skylights

Overhead glazing in a sunroom switching while the vertical glazing stays clear.

What is in this film

The film is shot looking up, which is the only way to film a rooflight.

It opens on one long narrow lantern set into a gabled ceiling, first clear with the sky and cloud showing through its panes, then switched. Same rooflight, two states, same camera position.

A conservatory follows, and its roof is PDLC switchable glass. The windows below it stay clear through the shot while the glazing overhead is the part doing the work, which is the usual way round in a sunroom: the walls are not the problem, the roof is.

The rest moves through other overhead shapes. A lantern with its framing members radiating from the centre, switched. A vaulted glazed roof, clear, with the sun in it. A flat grid of panels in a beige frame, every one of them switched.
